  •  10th standard: IIT is the place to be.
  •  IIT JEE Exam: Oh No.. I dont need to wait till the results are out. I already know that it was catastrophic.
  •  <Settled with a normal engineering college. Aiyyo> 😐
  •  Pre Engineering: After my B.E., I will get a job that satisfies me and that’s it. Yo Baby !
  •  First Job: Really ?? This is what I did my B.E. for?? I could have saved 4 years of my life if I had joined this company after completing high school. 😦
  •  MBA Preparation: IIM A, IIM B, IIM C. There ends my list. Thats what I deserve.
  •  Interview Calls: No calls from any of the IIM.
  •  <Admission in a Top 20 B School>
  •  B School: Slog.. Slog.. Slog.. I have to become an investment banker.. After 1.5 years, self realisation occurs “I cant live to die every day”
  •  Placement: Got into an IT company with a decent salary..
  •  Current Status: BLANK :-\

 2 + 12 = 16 lac rupees and 4+2 = 6 years of my life.. Gone in the air… Ouchh 😐

It frustrating to see old and new non MBA friends who now have 6-7 years of experience at their jobs. They had amazing onsite experience which earned them both money and respect. And you sit there trying to understand the industry and the domain and more importantly keep hoping to do the ACTUAL MBA LIKE WORK. Moreover, there are delivery guys who term you as “WHITE ELEPHANTS”. I have not met a single person who cares that I have an MBA. Seniors consider you as unimportant after you do all the shitty work for 2 years. They obviously get new minions (fresh from B School and obedient) to replace you. Worst part is that your parents still believe that you are doing some cutting edge stuff.

Sad that at 28 years of age (at the brink of mid-life crisis), I have not yet realised what my passion in life is. There should have been a purpose of my birth into this world. I always thought that I planned my life well. And now I am nothing more than a part of a small rat race..

I hope and wish to get just one breakthrough in my life, with no expectation of it coming sooner or later… 🙂

I love them!!

Life is getting tougher..

Though the rule ‘Work Hard and you would be successful’ still applies.. the conditions around are getting tougher day by day..

We had a Strategic Management lecture yesterday, the Prof was speaking in lengths about conducting an Internal Analysis(the SW part of SWOT), followed by an external analysis(the OT part)..using these, as inputs to crafting strategy..

One of my classmates spoke something very intriguing. He said, that he, by his very own nature, was a terrible liar. This helped him to do his testing job well. But as he moved into an MBA course, he started realising that this strength of his, has now become a weakness..

The Prof. asked him, “Are you in the right business?

And came a question in my mind,”Does being in the right business, make everything easy?”

Believe me, when it is built-in from within, adapting becomes really difficult. I am still not able to figure out, whether I would survive, if I try to flow by the tide.. One thing I am sure of is, I dont want to regret …ever…

Hey, it’s me again :)

What a better way than announcing my “come back” to the blogging world, through this song 🙂

CHEAP TRICK:

You didn’t know what you were looking for
‘Till you heard the voices in your ear.

Hey, it’s me again.
Came to see you again.
Please, can I see you ev’ry day?
I’m a fool again.
I fell in love with you again.
Please, can I see you ev’ry day?

A question, “What if a person younger than you or probably at a designation lower than you shows you the right way, will you willingly accept his/her suggestions?”
Almost all the public will answer ‘Yes!! Why not?’.

But is that the truth?
Think of it!
I know its difficult to live a life out of the cocoon.. to face the world.. to accept it’s challenges.
But if the caterpillar won’t come out, the world will never get a butterfly.

So…welcome crticism, questions and suggestions whole heartedly.

I bet you will end up finding an improved version of yourself or atleast will know yourself and the world a bit more 🙂

1411 Only

1411- That’s the number of tigers, ‘our NATIONAL ANIMAL’ in India.
Please create awareness about the same.

WHY SHOULD WE SAVE TIGER??

Tiger feeds on herbivores which in turn feed on plants, grass etc.
The tiger thus becomes the symbol for the protection of all species on our earth since it is at the top of the foodchain. This is why we sometimes call the tiger, an apex predator, an indicator of our ecosystem’s health!!

Just realised that I have not written anything about Bilal Maqsood or Strings in my Blog yet….
So why should I waste any more time!!

Strings-

I have been their BIG BIG fan from 15th August, 2002 when I heard Durr for the first time, on TV……
Then during my engineering, in our hostel, a girl played the same song on tape.I clearly remember, I ran towards her room, stormed inside her room and saw that a cassette with Strings written over it.

Then in 2004, came Dhaani……….
And I immediately knew it was the same band without even looking at the Band name. I was absolutely in love with all of the songs in Dhaani.
One my friends, Mansij, realising my madness for them, gifted me Dhaani on my Birthday 🙂
So sweet of him……

I dont know how many times I heard those over and over again….
My favourite being Mera Bichhra Yaar…….
I was bit disappointed with “Koi aaney waala hai” 😦
But never mind….I am always eager to get more and more of strings’ music..

Oh Bilal, you make such beautiful compositions, backing vocals are so nice and the way you play guitar is…….. AWESOME!!
And Faisal, you have a gifted voice:)
Bilal and Faisal are on my desktop background on almost all the days of the year 🙂

Old songs that should be surely checked are:
– Anjaaney
– Duur
– Ek Khidki
– Mera Bichhra Yaar
– Sar kiye ye pahaar

Do the new: Do-Co-Mo

There was a time when people used to apply and wait for BSNL SIM.
Then there were abundant offers and brands with innumerable outlets for their sale.
But after several years, people are queuing up for Tata Docomo sim…

Inspite of so many offers available, and an existing sim, why are people moving towards Docomo?
This is the first time, when the customers felt that they are paying for what they use!!
1 paise per sec, SMS charges as per the character usage are the novel offers…
So the rush…its proving out to be an ultimate product for the business people and the youth..
Moreover, they have launched a very attractive marketting…
The Docomo tone is mellifluous..
I was sitting in my flat, when I heard a 7 year in my neighbourhood, singing the tone loudly 🙂
The ads are perfect for the offers that are being made!

Surely, Docomo is becoming a darling of many!

Try, Try Again

I recited this poem in a competition when I was in Class 1 or so, and I got the first prize.Hope you will like it!

Tis a lesson you should heed,
Try, try again;
If at first you don’t succeed,
Try, try again;
Then your courage should appear,
For if you will persevere,
You will conquer, never fear:
Try, try again.

Once or twice though you should fail,
Try, try again.
If you would at last prevail,
Try; try again;
If we strive, ‘tis no disgrace
Though we do not win the race;
What should you do in the case?
Try; Try again.

If you find your task is hard,

Try, try again;

Time will bring you your reward,

Try, try again;

All that other folks can do,
Why, with patience, should not you?

Only keep this rule  in view

TRY,TRY AGAIN.

@ Office

Sitting on my somewhat cozy couch, holding “3IN6O” chips on my left hand and TV remote on my right one, guess what I was doing??

Bingo!!! I was watching TV…. a music channel- promo of Wake up S!d.

The ad showed S!d eating junk food and watching TV, spending his entire day doing nothing bla bla bla.

After having a look of the promo, I took a sigh of relief and said to myself-

Ye high society k bacche. I am so much better!

 Errrr…… Am I??

 YES INDEED!!

I am so much better than these “Pappu can’t dance saala” category…..

Reasons-

– I work yaar, minimum 7 hours a day, coz I am afraid a half day would hit me back.

– My father never gave me a credit card, Pa I still love you a lot.

– My friends are not lazy, they don’t drink or go to late night parties, I know they have every right on this earth to read my blog.

– I don’t have the same routine everyday- one day my client shouts the other day my manager shouts (pun intended)

– My estimations are always perfect. I object every process followed, because I know, it won’t be successful coz the people who follow it feel that way.

– I don’t spend my precious time on social networking sites- and I appreciate the fact that such sites are blocked in my company.

– I love to sit and watch others and eh.. make some observations. Can you imagine a world without critics???

 I am so much better! Ain’t I??
